Welcome to this writer’s humble presence on the internet.

I’m Wallace J. Swenson and I was born and raised in a small rural town in southeast Idaho.  From the very beginning I lived a life of hard work supported by a strong family, was taught by example the value of honesty and loyalty, and it is about such that I write. My family numbered ten with me being the fourth child and the third son of Swedish immigrants.  With four younger, three brothers and a sister, we were poor in a material sense but blessed beyond measure in the spiritual. 

I’ve written ten full-length novels since I started writing in 2001, putting to rest many old ghosts and reviving some wonderful memories as well.  I love to write.  I have learned that exhaustive research and attention to even the smallest detail produces stories that are real, and the characters I write about have lived and matured in my head for years.  It is my goal to present scenes that when read in the black and white of the printed page will be seen in the vivid colors of a prairie spring.  I strive to present characters developed to such a point that they leave the book and move into the reader's head to stay forever.

 I currently live with my wife Jacquelyn in the small town where I was born and we were married, close to our two grown children and four grandchildren.  It is my intention to live here the rest of the time I’m allowed to breathe, and spend that time putting down on paper the dozens of stories that whirl around inside my head.  I hope you come back often as the life I’ve seen is released on you, one book at a time.
